The company named Mount Wutai Zongxi Tourism was launched to promote red tourism at the scenic spot on Sept 9.
For the inaugural tour, about a hundred of media representatives from across the country visited some famous local revolutionary sites including the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall at the Taiyuan temple in Mount Wutai.
The activity also marked the 71st anniversary of the War against Japanese Aggression, the 80th anniversary of the end of Long March and the 40th anniversary of Chairman Mao’s death.
Mount Wutai played a critical role in the War against Japanese Aggression. The nation’s first anti-Japanese base was formed in the area in 1938.
