Supreme People’s Court Vice-President Tao Kaiyuan, leading a Chinese delegation, attended a meeting of Presidents of the Supreme Courts of Central and Eastern European countries from Oct 11-14 in Brijuni, Croatia.

Tao, representing SPC President Zhou Qiang, visited Croatia at the invitation of the president of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia.

This is the fifth time the meeting has been held. The meetings are an opportunity for presidents from 17 central and eastern European countries to discuss topics such as judicial reform and improving efficiency.

At the opening ceremony, Tao made a speech on the judicial openness of Chinese courts.
