It is responsible for drafting judicial interpretations for relevant organizations; coordinating and compiling relevant research materials for legislation, including opinions on laws and regulations; preparing opinions on issues of the application of law raised by courts at lower levels and relevant departments; handling and coordinating legal affairs involving Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; supervising juvenile courts, judicial statistics and general surveys; and compiling accounts of typical cases.
