The Kunming Aquatic Science Park, in the city of Kunming, Yunnan province is involved in high-level planning and design work in some major projects of important areas, especially core areas and areas for the application of advanced water technology. One core area, in the Kunming Hi-Tech Industrial Base for Scientific Research and Industry, covers 3-square-kilometers, while a water technology application covers the entire high-tech zone, or about 92-sq-km.
