Rethink sending officials abroad

Comment on "Officials to harvest experience from overseas" (China Daily, Nov 24)

Why don't the authorities directly recruit people who have studied, worked and lived overseas, instead of sending officials abroad for training.

Such people have abundant personal experience in foreign countries and are more familiar with international practices. This may be a more efficient way of gathering experienced people than sending Chinese officials to another country for a short time.
