 A villager gets water from a deep and almost dried-up well in Xinzhong village in Xifeng county, in southwest China's Guizhou province, March 18, 2010. Severe drought in the area has affected the lives of 104,300 people, 63,100 livestock and 89,900 mu (6,000 hectares) of crops. No rainfall has been seen in the area since last autumn. Local government has invested 1.67 million yuan ($245,000) in building water supply facilities, and residents themselves are using their hands to find water from the ground. [Photo/Asianewsphoto] |
