An ancient supervolcano discovered by geologists in Southeast Hong Kong on Aug 30, 2012. The supervolcano was discovered in the southeastern part of Hong Kong on Aug 30. The volcano last exploded 140 million years ago geologists believe. A volcano is defined as "super" when it erupts more than 1,000 cubic kilometers of ash.
