Hundred couples in Rugao city of Jiangsu province attended an event to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary (50th anniversary) on Oct 27.

The participants marked their cross-century love by dancing, reciting poems, painting and calligraphy. They also shared their stories and love tokens with each other. The youngest attendee was 72 years old, while the oldest was 101. The longest marriage among the couples has lasted for 81 years.

Rugao has made its name as a city of longevity. There are 272 centenarians among the city's 1.45 million population.
