On April 13, 2011, the Zhongguancun Intelligent Transportation Industry Alliance was jointly established by 51 companies and institutions, including CTFO, Hanwang, LOIT, Beijing Infrastructure Investment Co Ltd, Beijing Jiaotong University and the Transport Planning and Research Institute with the Ministry of Transport.

To achieve the traffic informatization with intelligence transportation technology is a critical approach in alleviating urban traffic congestion, improving the efficiency of the transportation system, and reducing urban traffic pollution. Zhongguancun has gathered a batch of competitive enterprises in the intelligent transportation field. These companies enjoy favorable advantages in terms of technology, talented personnel and national S&T innovation policy.

The alliance facilitates enterprises to carry out the Beijing and national intelligent transportation projects. It also expedites the R&D and industrialization of core technologies, addresses Beijing's urban traffic congestion problem and sets up the capital's leading position in China's intelligent transportation industry.
