Overseas Chinese seek business opportunities in Shandong

More than 300 overseas Chinese from 29 countries and regions gathered in Shandong on Wednesday to seek business opportunities from nearly 400 projects offered by cities in Shandong province.
The projects offered at the ongoing Cooperation and Exchange Fair on Science and Technology Innovation among Overseas Chinese cover the fields of hi-tech industries, high-end manufacturing, modern services industry, agriculture, new energy and new materials.
Jiang Daming, governor of Shandong, sent out a message at the opening ceremony of the fair saying that Shandong would like to extend its cooperation with overseas Chinese to as many fields as possible.
During the following days, overseas Chinese will conduct fact-finding research trips at several Shandong cities, including Jinan and Yantai, and talk with potential partners.
Over 400 projects have been founded by overseas Chinese in Shandong during the past five years, involving a contractual capital of $2.1 billion.
