Culture tourism park opens in Sanya

The Sanya Qianguqing scenic spot, a culture tourism park in Sanya city, Hainan province, integrating a theme park, cultural performances and entertainment opened to the public on Sept 15.
The scenic spot features Sanya’s Tianya culture, Li and Miao culture, and unique folk culture. It includes 10 themed zones, such as Yazhou ancient city, Elephant Valley, and the Li & Miao village cultural experience area.
On the evening of Sept 15, an art and dance performance, The Legend of Romance, showcasing the colorful multicultural history of Sanya city, was staged for the first time at the 4,700-seat Sanya Qianguqing Grand Theater.
The Qiangucheng project is another attempt by the Sanya government to combine culture with tourism. Covering 15 hectares of space, the first phase of the project was designed and carried out by Songcheng Group after more than 500 days of construction work beginning in April 2012.
