Executives from Beijing and Taipei exchange ideas on talent strategy

A sub-forum on talents - part of the 16th Beijing-Taipei Industrial Cooperation Meeting hosted by the Zhongguancun Talent Association and Taipei Neihu Science Park - concluded in Taipei on Nov 27.

The sub-forum, with the theme "co-building a cross-Straits talents exchange platform," was the first such event organized during the cooperation meeting to address the issue of talents required by the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.

It is expected thatthrough aimed to promote exchanges from between representatives of key industries between in Beijing and Taipei, both sides can share excellent experience ofso as to improve talents management and service for better talents management.

Executives of Beijing Traffic Control Technology Ltd, Beijing BDStar Navigation Ltd, and Taiji Computer Ltd delivered keynote speeches on behalf of Beijing enterprises, and executives of Top Boss Ltd gave a speech representing Taiwan enterprises.

Participants from Beijing and Taipei also took part in a roundtable discussion on talent strategy, recruitment, management and trends, and said the sub-forum was useful for improving their management skills.

Representatives from Zhongguancun Talent Association also visited institutions like Neihu Science Park, Hsinchu Science Park, the Institute for Information Industry and Taipei Neihu Science Park Development Association, and reached an agreement with Taiwan representatives to stay in contact and discuss any possible opportunities for cooperation.

As cross-Straits communication deepens, there is much potential for cooperation between Beijing and Taipei, and both sides aim to make joint efforts to build a platform for exchanges and talents and for further communication – and a possible expansion of industrial cooperation.
