Beijing establishes intelligent transportation alliance

The Zhongguancun Zhitong Intelligent Transportation Industry Alliance was established by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport on August 29.
The alliance aims to follow the relevant national intelligent transportation policies and will focus on improving the intelligent road network, advancing intelligent driving and parking areas and solving mechanical problems such as safe driving assistance, autonomous driving and intelligent traffic network data gathering.
In addition, the alliance will also help with cooperation between the upstream and downstream firms of the industrial chains.
The alliance was initiated by 30 intelligent automobile companies, institutes and colleges such as China Transinfo, Baic Bjev and Tsinghua University and covers several industries such as communications, automobile electronics and traffic management services.
