Conference targets scientific innovation

Some 20 leading companies including BOE Technology Group Co, Mercedes-Benz, and HollySys attended a conference held in Beijing Economic-technological Development Area (BDA) on Jan 20, highlighting scientific and technological innovation.
Progress made in developing the area into a national base for scientific and technological innovation was discussed at the conference.
Company representatives exchanged views on the current development trends and the future direction for high-tech firms.
Being the only national economic technological development area in Beijing, BDA has been drawing in Global Top 500 companies and large-scale investment projects. To better facilitate the development of high-tech firms settled in the area, a total of 20 technological innovation centers will be set up in the area by 2020. The construction work on the centers will be carried out during 2017.
Wang Hesheng, an official at BDA, vowed to continue to provide a first-class development environment for the companies.
