Lingshan Mountain sits in the west of Mentougou and is 122 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. Its main peak is 2,303 meters above sea level and the highest in Beijing.
Zhaitang reservoir sits in the west of Mentougou’s Zhaitang town and is a medium-sized reservoir. Zhaitang began construction in 1970 and was completed in September 1974.
In Lingshui Village there are many ancient houses which appear elegant and simple. Visiting this village is actually a wonderful experience.
Miaofeng Mountain is one of the Taihang mountains, 55 km from Beijing. The 20 sq-km mountain area is dotted with ancient temples, roses and oddly-shaped trees.
Shenquanxia scenic spot is one kilometer west of Tanchang village in Miaofengshan town. It covers roughly 15 square kilometers.
Nanshiyang Grand Canyon forest park sits in the northwest of Matao village, Yanchi town.
