Local authorities in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region said, police and workers have been attacked and two workers were injured during a demolition of illegal buildings in September.
Nine suspects have been arrested, Xinhua News Agency reported. The incident was in response to a report online about police brutality in Nanning against local villagers who opposed the demolition.
