Convertibility is the most notable feature of the hybrid PC. The device is used as a laptop, but the display can be separated from the keyboard by pushing a button at the top of the keyboard before being carried as a tablet.

The device will be available starting Oct 26 when the Windows 8 is scheduled to be launched. The Smart PC will be run by Windows 8 operating system (OS), and will be shipped with S pen digital stylus, which was already included in Samsung's Galaxy Note phablet model.

The Samsung Smart PC consisted of two models, including standard ATIV Smart PC and ATIV Smart PC Pro. The former came with Intel's Atom Z2760 processor, 2GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The latter had the better hardware with Intel's Core i5 3317U processor, 4GB RAM and 128 GB SSD for storage.

The former had an 11.6-inch HD LED panel with a resolution of 1366 to 768, while the latter was loaded with an 11.6-inch full-HD LED display with a 1920 to 1080 resolution.
