All warring groups were invited to the meeting, during which all the attendants were detained by the army.

The prime minister was absent from the meeting since the first day, claiming he was the prime minister and will not attended the meeting hosted by the army chief.

Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra - who was removed from office earlier this month in a controversial court ruling - was also ordered to show up, along with more than 100 prominent figures from both sides of the political divide.

But her whereabouts are not yet known either, according to Thai media.
