2,000 mobilized to put out China forest fire

HARBIN -- More than 1,000 professional fire fighters and another 1,000 volunteers were mobilized Saturday to put out a fire that raged through a forest in northeast China.
The fire broke out in Sanwu Forest in Heilongjiang province at 11:40 am Saturday. By 5 pm, professional fire fighters have entered the forest while the volunteers are on the standby.
The scale of damage is not immediately clear while the cause is being investigated.
