China encourages cooperation between enterprises, vocational schools

BEIJING - China will allow more enterprises to cooperate with vocational schools to better integrate education with business, according to a guideline released by the Ministry of Education.
Enterprises are encouraged to recruit students as interns to offer training opportunities.
A pilot project that allows 1,000 vocational schools in 100 cities in China to cooperate with enterprises will be launched, according to the guideline.
Cooperation between enterprises and vocational schools will be focused on talent training, technological innovation, employment and entrepreneurship, as well as cultural inheritance.
So far, about 30,000 enterprises cooperate with vocational schools in China, according to the ministry.
