Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative

Austria has been approved as one of the prospective founding members of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in April 2015.

China Electronics Technology Group Corporation and China Railway Rolling Corporation Zhuzhou Locomotive have set up their European headquarters in Austria, and the Bank of China established a branch in Vienna.

China-made environmentally friendly buses began operating in Graz, Austria's second-largest city, in late November, according to the official website of the Chinese embassy in Austria.

The electric buses are made by China Railway Rolling Corporation (CRRC) Zhuzhou Locomotive, and it is the first time for a CRRC electric bus to run in Europe.
