School joins holiday preparations in Ningbo
They're making sweet green rice balls and popcorn, driving tractors and eating other local food.
As a way to prevent COVID-19, people are being asked by the health department to stay close to home and limit long trips during the upcoming Chinese New Year.
To enrich the holiday life of students on campus, the university organized the short trip to Dayan.
Cao Huijie, a senior student from the university's business college is from Shijiazhuang, which had a COVID-19 outbreak recently, so she couldn't go there. She needed to stay in Ningbo.
"I thought I might be homesick, but the university organized many activities including yoga sessions, dance classes and short trips to nearby places.
I believe I'll have a safe and warm winter break here," she said.
