Bohemian rhapsody
Livestreamed music events have become popular during the pandemic, and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is going this route with its three-concert series on March 4, 9 and 12.
Performing from its home — the Joseph Keilberth Hall in Bamberg, Germany — under Czech chief conductor Jakub Hr?a, the orchestra will present great Central European orchestral music of the Romantic period. "We're bringing three huge, fantastic programs showing the potential of our orchestra — an ensemble deeply inspired by tradition as well as progressive in handling the challenges of our times — and linked to the history of music in Austrian and Bohemian lands: Bruckner, Mahler and Smetana," Hr?a informs.
