A research team from the Hubei Institute of Geosciences discovered abundant and typical Devonian coral fossils in the northwest of Yunxi county, Hubei province, in late March. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

Yunxi Daliang, also known as Hubei Daliang, is a 60-kilometer section of the Qinling Mountains separating Hubei and Shaanxi province. It is the geographical and climatic dividing line between them.
