Chinese art-themed China Eastern aircraft completes debut flight

The ancient Chinese arts themed aircraft completed its first flight on May 7 departing from the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and landing at the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Southwest China's Sichuan province, where it was welcomed with a conventional water salute. In addition, the interior of the cabin is decorated with bronze images and elements in its tray tables and overhead bins, presenting passengers onboard an immersive experience of enjoying ancient Chinese relics in the air.

The launch of the themed jet marked a new milestone in the deepening strategic collaboration between the two parties since the signing of their cooperation agreement in 2024.
