Leveraging cyberspace to build a common spiritual home for Chinese nation

A sub-forum themed on forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation at the 2025 Internet Civilization Conference was held in Hefei, Anhui province, on Tuesday.
The sub-forum, attended by over 120 representatives from relevant departments, including officials, experts, scholars, and university faculty and students, focused on leveraging cyberspace to build a common spiritual home for the Chinese nation.
Speaking at the sub-forum, Niu Yibing, deputy head of the Cyberspace Administration of China, said that with the rapid development of information technology represented by the internet, cyberspace has transformed the way people live, work and interact. This has not only brought new opportunities but also posed new challenges to ethic affairs.
"We need to adhere to integrity and innovation, and continue to consolidate and strengthen the online public opinion on forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation," Niu said.
Sun Shangwu, deputy editor-in-chief of China Daily, also attended the sub-forum and delivered a speech.
