Shanghai will host the Shanghai International Embodied Intelligence Expo from July 2 to 4 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center.

The expo, themed "Embodied Intelligence, Empowered Future", aims to be a high-end international platform showcasing technological innovation and the commercial application of embodied intelligence, covering everything from key components to system integration, and software algorithms to real-world scenarios.

It will include technology demonstrations, interactive experiences, industry matchmaking and academic discussions.

The global embodied intelligence market is experiencing rapid technological advancement and expanding application, and was estimated to be worth 19.53 billion yuan ($2.81 billion) in 2025.

The expo will feature nine exhibition zones, encompassing embodied intelligence hardware, perception systems, decision-making and cognitive systems, execution systems, battery and energy storage, automotive intelligent connectivity, platforms, technology commercialization, and manufacturing equipment.

The exhibition area will span 30,000 square meters and is projected to attract over 500 domestic and international exhibitors, presenting a comprehensive view of the embodied intelligence industrial chain.

In addition to the exhibition, the CIEI 2026 will feature several concurrent events to facilitate industry collaboration, covering topics such as industrial ecosystem, technology exchange, achievement releases, and business matchmaking.

These activities include the 2026 Embodied Intelligence Industry Ecosystem Conference, the release of the China Embodied Intelligence Industry Development Report, a seminar on embodied intelligence standards, a supply chain matchmaking event, and forums on key components.
