IUCN chief sends Chinese New Year greetings
Director General of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Grethel Aguilar has delivered a Chinese New Year video message to the Chinese people, expressing appreciation for their contributions to global conservation efforts over the past year.
"On behalf of the IUCN, I offer my sincere thanks to China and the Chinese people for your deep care and outstanding contributions to global nature conservation, biodiversity protection and nature-based solutions over the past year," Aguilar said.
"In the dynamic Year of the Horse, the IUCN looks forward to further strengthening our close cooperation with the member State of China, the Ministry of Natural Resources, as well as our dedicated members and partners across the nation," she said, adding that this cooperation will help create a future in which people and nature can thrive in harmony.
