( Xinhua ) Updated: 2013-10-31 20:19:14

CHANGSHA - A suspect who allegedly made false bomb threats that affected four flights leaving and bound for Changsha city of Central China's Hunan province on Thursday has been caught by police.

Flight JD5662 of Capital Airlines, a regional carrier, landed at 1:01 pm after the airline received a bomb threat call at 12:45 pm, according to a statement on the company's official microblog.

The plane bound for the eastern city of Hangzhou took off at 12:14 pm from Changsha. All passengers are safe, the statement said.

Changsha Huanghua International Airport did not identify the suspect.

The suspect's bomb hoax call also forced flight CZ3743 of China Southern Airlines, which was bound for the southern city of Shenzhen, to land in Wuhan City of Central China's Hubei province. It had taken off from Changsha at 2:50 pm, according to the Changsha airport.

Flight MF8258 of Xiamen Air and flight 3U8998 of Sichuan Airlines departed from the cities of Lanzhou and Fuzhou at 3:02 pm and 3:04 pm respectively after searches found no bombs on the planes, according to the airport.

Meanwhile, no bombs were found after a search of Flight JD5662 at Nanchang Changbei International Airport. The 136 passengers aboard the plane went through another round of security checks at about 5 p.m. and took off at 5:32 pm, according to the airport.

"It was a tough experience," said a passenger surnamed Zhang.

"I wish I could arrive at home as soon as possible," said Zhang, a native from Shaoxing city, Zhejiang province.
