As Qixi, Chinese Valentine's Day draws near, Zhu village in Guangzhou, famous as the "Hometown of Qiqiao cultures in China", held a cultural festival recently and displayed various handicrafts.
In ancient times, women on Qixi gathered to show their needlework and see who was the most diligent, so Qixi is also called Qiqiao Festival in Chinese. Qiqiao means "hoping to be diligent".
