一夜情，露水之歡

下面這則新聞，可能會令老師、家長甚至性教育家大吃一驚。一項在北京某區所做的調查顯示，北京的中學生遠比社會所想象的“開放”：一半以上的受訪學生認為“一夜情”沒什么錯，6.2%的人承認他們有過性行為。

More than half of those polled said there was nothing wrong with aone-night stand; and 6.2 percent admitted they already had a sexual encounter, according to the results released recently.
報道中的“one-night stand”就是“一夜情”，或者“露水之歡”。該短語常用來比喻“結合”并非為求天長地久，通常是雙方在不十分了解的前提下的“性行為”，當事人也不用為對方負責。
“One-night stand”原指巡回演出劇團在某地“一夜的駐留”，“stand”本意指“停留演出，停留演出劇場”，如：to open a four-week stand（為期4周的停留演出）。隨著時間的推移，俚語中常用“one-night stand”來比喻隨風而逝的“愛”。
看下面一個例句：I am hoping for a lasting relation, not just one-night stand.（我希望擁有持久的關系，而不是一夜情。）
