Zhang Laiming,Vice-President (Vice-Minister) , member of the Leading Party Members’ Group，and research fellow of DRC, was born in Jinhu county, Jiangsu province in August 1964. He got a Bachelor's Degree in law from Peking University in July 1984, and a Master's Degree in law with a specialty in constitutional law from Peking University in July 1987. He worked as a teacher at the Foreign Affairs College from July 1987 to May 1991, and from May 1991 to March 2013, he worked in Policy Research Office of CPC Central Committee, as Deputy Investigator, Investigator, Deputy Director of Political Research Bureau, Deputy Director and Director of the International Research Bureau, Deputy Secretary-General and Director of the International Research Bureau. From May 1995 to May 1996 he took the post as Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Dingxing county, Hebei province. He was appointed Vice President and member of Leading Party Members' Group of DRC in March 2013.
Zhang has done a lot of research related to political and legal issues, social development and international affairs.
