海南海事局5艘船舶待命 可隨時參與失聯客機救援
從海南海事局獲悉，3月8日上午，海南海事局在接到交通運輸部關于做好救援失聯馬航客機人員準備的通知后，立即啟動海上應急預案，部署救援準備工作。
李克強緊急同馬來西亞總理納吉布通電話
3月8日下午，國務院總理李克強緊急同馬來西亞總理納吉布通電話，敦促馬方迅速有力開展馬航失聯客機搜救工作。納吉布就馬航客機失聯向中方表示歉意，向中國乘客親屬表示深切同情和慰問，表示馬方將全力開展搜救，并派工作組來華協助處理相關事宜。
越媒：失聯客機可能在距越南土珠島300公里處墜毀
據《越南快訊》3月8日12時報道，越南第五海區海軍政委準海軍上將武文發稱，有關馬來西亞航空公司波音777-200飛機墜落地點，今天上午馬來西亞搜救部門已經向越南做了通報。根據飛機的速度以及最后發送信號的地點，該部門判斷該飛機可能在越南和馬來西亞接壤海域，距離土珠島，富國島（越南建江省）約153海里(約300公里)。
失聯客機乘客親友受訪 一市民稱鄰居全家都在航班上
馬來西亞航空公司MH370航班3月8日在飛行途中失蹤，機上有239人，含154名中國乘客。中國日報記者采訪了一些機上乘客的親友、經常乘坐MH370航班的人士。
越媒：越南軍官稱馬來客機在Tho Chu島附近墜毀
據越南媒體《青年報》新聞網站3月8日報道，越南海軍高官Rear Admiral Ngo Van Phat稱，馬來西亞航空公司失聯航班370在距離越南Tho Chu島153英里處墜毀。
