馬來官方公布兩名持假護照登機者照片
馬來西亞方面11日15時召開記者會，宣布已確認一名持假護照登機者身份，為伊朗人Pouria Nour Mohammad Mehrdad，但警方表示此人無恐怖主義背景，也和恐怖主義機構無關。

當地時間2014年3月11日，法國里昂，國際刑警組織秘書長雷納德·諾布爾接受媒體采訪，稱兩名持假護照的伊朗男子應該只是普通偷渡犯，與恐怖主義的關聯性不大。
