Li Yihua and Mannheim Brass Band

Born in Germany, Ehrhard Wetz began to study school music education at Heidel-berg-Manheim Academy of Music in 1971 and graduated after he passed a national examination in 1976. After years of hard work, he first created his own trombone orchestra and then founded the Mannheim brass band in 2001. All members are the Mannheim Conservatory's students or graduates. As a young organist, Li Yihua obtained a double master's degree in pipe organ and harpsichord from Hochschule fur Musik Freiburg. In 2016, she was conferred the highest diploma in organ playing and as an organ chamber music performer from StaatLIche Hochschule fuer Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. She was taught by professor Ludger Lohmann, a top organist and educator. Wetz is also active in performing ancient music and ancient musical instruments on stage, such as in Baroque orchestra and Stuttgart court band.
