The production team for the 2007 Chinese movie The Sun Also Rises, including its director Jiang Wen, met audiences on Thursday during the 21th Shanghai International Film Festival.

Jiang, 55, stared in the film – his third directorial work – that boasts a stellar cast including Joan Chen, Anthony Wong and Jaycee Chan.

The film details four interconnected stories from different time-zones, shifting between a Yunnan village, a campus, and the Gobi Desert.

Jiang will chair the seven-member jury for the Fiction Competition of the Golden Goblet Awards for the film festival.
