The Shanghai Pujiang Innovation Forum's CCB Lab hosted its latest "Youth Voice" academic salon on Friday, aiming to create a community of young scientists that combines academic depth, innovative sharpness, and community warmth.

The session, which focused on plant science, included experts such as Cui Xiaofeng, executive editor of the journals Molecular Plant and Plant Communications, and Du Wenxian, an associate researcher at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, who shared cutting-edge insights and interacted with participants.

Experts provided an in-depth analysis of China's journey in plant science, highlighting its transition from following global trends to becoming a leader in the field. They also introduced the "Plant Science 2035" vision, emphasizing that technological advancements are set to drive research from the molecular level to broader ecological systems.

The event was livestreamed across multiple platforms, attracting significant engagement from young scholars both online and offline, with over 10,000 cumulative views.

Organized by the Shanghai Pujiang Innovation Forum Center and the Shanghai Association of Young Talents in Science and Technology, the event provided comprehensive growth services for young scientific talents through future themed salons.
