China remains the most stable, reliable and constructive force in an increasingly turbulent world by consistently advancing high-quality development and expanding high-level opening-up, both developing itself and benefiting the world, a spokesman for the annual session of the country's top political advisory body said on Tuesday.

Liu Jieyi, spokesman for the fourth session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, told a news conference in Beijing that amid accelerating global changes and intertwined challenges, China is committed to building a community with a shared future for humanity.

He emphasized that China advocates an equal and orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization to foster lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity.

Highlighting the CPPCC National Committee's diplomatic efforts over the past year, Liu said that it sent delegations to over 10 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America, while hosting numerous international meetings to share experiences on issues ranging from the drafting of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) to poverty reduction and environmental protection.

Participants reached a consensus that addressing global challenges requires both vision and a sense of responsibility, Liu said, adding that "the major concepts and solutions proposed by China have provided guiding principles and strong momentum for countries to work together toward a better world".

He added that the CPPCC will continue to strengthen ties with international partners to forge global consensus to help build a community with a shared future for humanity.

Deliberating on the 15th Five-Year Plan will be a key focal point of the seven-day session. The event opens on Wednesday, bringing together around 2,100 national political advisers.

Assisting in the scientific formulation of the 15th Five-Year Plan is a key task for the CPPCC National Committee. In 2025, it conducted extensive research on key factors for Chinese modernization, submitting over 480 proposals and 200 pieces of information to provide essential reference for the drafting process, according to Liu.

Over the past five years, 10 special committees of the CPPCC National Committee have selected key issues in the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), including optimizing the business environment, protecting black soil and accelerating infrastructure adaptation for an aging society, and conducted supervision activities.

Members of the nation's top political advisory body participated in these supervision activities 779 times, submitting 323 suggestions to facilitate the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Liu said.

"CPPCC democratic supervision is consultative, focusing on national priorities and public concerns," Liu said.
